As a hypervigilant person, you probably notice danger everywhere and then obsess about it. This approach increases and intensifies your fear. Instead of obsessing, try solution-oriented thinking.

Cultivate a relaxed mind by shifting the focus from what’s threatening to what’s exciting or promising about an uncomfortable situation.

Each day take time for yourself to be still. Do nothing. It won’t be easy. Being still may seem like a waste of time. After all, you’ve got so much to do. Yet, not doing things, getting a good night’s sleep, taking time to relax may be the most helpful advice you’ll ever receive.
